I have been reading here, but I never had anything to post .

Now I have! Last weekend I made two videos of my A-litter-dogs, now 3 years old.

Then there is Holly, showing longeing with dogs. If you watch closely, you can see how the height of her arm regulates Holly`s speed. Arm up means galopp, arm low trot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h89dpZYHNhU<\/u><\/a>

Wow!!!

I liked the heelwork video very much and how your dog kept the contact all the time and was alert and in the same time you can see that the dog truly enjoys doing it! Really impressive ! It is the kind of heelwork that I find just perfect

When I started to teach heelwork, I thought it was the easiest thing ever, but now I find it to be the hardest. Just my vision of perfect heelwork has changed a lot and my aims have also raised a lot.

I try to make a video of our heelwork training one day as well (how my dog does it now) and post it here.

And the longeing video... I have never seen such a thing before. Really awsome and great thing to teach .

The longeing is getting quite popular in German Dogclubs. Many have heard about it, but still don`t know what can all be done. The dog has to focus totally on his owner and this helps with many behavioural problems. For example, there could be another dog on a leash nearby and the running dog is learning to ignore it. At the same time the moving helps to reduce his stress, also he would not be able to fixate it.

Or dogs that tend to hunt will learn to obey commands from afar.

Dogs that like to move usually love it. Mine certainly do !
